Strategic Planning 2003 – 2007 Global Objectives
General goals of the strategic areas:
- Legislation and Policy Area
To analyse and to affect public policies and spaces related to the participation of the civil society in the conservation and sustainable use of the biodiversity. This will be accomplished by supporting the institutional input for the creation, modification and/or application of favourable norms to the Natural Reserves of the civil society. - Conservation – Production Area
To design and support the development of natural ecosystems management initiatives and sustainable production in the Natural Reserves, in benefit of its Associates (members) and of the community in general. Investigation, planning, sustainable management, qualification and support will achieve this, in order to protect the biodiversity and assuring the associate’s permanence in its Natural Reserves. - Environmental Education Area
To contribute to the formation of a social weave favorable to the conservation processes, the sustainable management of the resources and to a new environmental ethics. Critical and participative learning will achieve this, generating individual and collective commitments projected towards clear and important actions against a real challenge of their natural, social, cultural and economic surroundings. The goal is to create spaces that allow a synergy between the logics and knowledge arisen from the local experience of the Natural Reserves and the knowledge derived from regional and global processes. - Information Analysis and Monitoring Area
To generate support for the territorial knowledge of the Natural Reserves on national, regional and local scales, according to the criteria of conservation-production established by Resnatur. This knowledge will enhance the decision-making process through monitoring and evaluation of the resulting information of the Association’s activities. - Communication
To contribute to the collective generation of appropriation and belonging feeling of the Associates (members) to the organization, so that their participation and initiatives are the base that supports the consolidation and strengthening of Resnatur at internal and external levels. - Administration and finances
To provide financial, logistic and human talent information to guide the decision-making process related to the proper management and control of the organization’s resources.
